At the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo on Thursday, November 4th, a gala reception was held for the annual RBC Glass Award. We are very pleased to announce that LAC Resident Artist Rachael Wong was the 2010 recipient of the coveted prize. Her complex installations of blown and flame-worked glass have garnered much attention for their uncanny ability to manipulate space, colour and form. Rachael has been awarded a prize of $7000 to aid her in the production of her new works. This marks the second year in succession that an LAC Resident Artist has won this important prize for emerging artists, the 2009 winner being Cali Balles.
